ECD, Energy Conscious Design, was established in 1980 to combine energy research and consultancy with architectural practice. Today ECD employs 23 staff (with two directors and three associate directors) and has completed over 100 built projects including: university and educational projects; residential new build and refurbishment projects; lottery funded arts and leisure projects; masterplanning and estate regeneration projects; and industrial and commercial projects. Our clients encompass colleges and universities, local authorities, housing associations and developers, charitable trusts, government departments and public and private companies.
